Ex Busol Airlines and the Soviet Air Force. Went to the Ukrainian Air Force in May 2002. Registered to Air Support Systems LLC in Mar 2010 as N78RX. History becomes a little muddled after that.

Acquired Apr 95 from Atlant-Soyuz Airlines. Previously with the Ukraine Air Force and the Soviet Air Force. Went to Ukrainian Cargo Airways in 1999 as UR-UDB. Reported seen stored in 2017.

A quick early morning shot as I head in to work. It was reportedly placed in storage at Ashkhabad in Feb 2006 and then sold to the Chinese Air Force in Apr 2016 as 78612.

Later to the Algerian Air Force as 7T-WIN

Crashed attempting to take-off from Kinshasa just under 2 months later on 6 Jun 96. From the ASN accident report: "Earlier that day the Ilyushin had hit an electricity pole on takeoff from Cairo. Repairs took 7 hours before the aircraft could continue to Kinshasa. The crew taxied backwards by using the thrust reversers and forgot to extend the flaps before takeoff. The aircraft failed to lift off, veered off the runway with the nose gear up in the air, ran over rough ground, ended up in a hollow, turned over, broke up and caught fire". In this photo the aircraft carries small titles and logo near the cockpit.

Now with the Atlant-Soyuz Airlines logo crudely painted off the tail and allegedly, according to my log at the time, operating for Ukrainian airline Yuzhmashavia.

Delivered new (as CCCP-76476) 26th Apr 1984 and first noted with RA-prefix Dec 1992. Became EW-430TH around Aug 2014
