Built in 1957, imported in 1968 and Lyncrest (CJL5) based in 2023. At some point it has been modified to 7EC configuration with a tail-wheel.

Imported new in 1958 and Alberta based in 2023.

Imported new in 1971 and Powell River/BC based in 2022. Here moored on the shore of Okanagan Lake, conveniently close to the restaurant behind.

Aeronca Aircraft returned to civilian aircraft production in 1945 with two new designs ; the 7AC Champion and 11AC Chief. The manufacturer ceased light aircraft production in 1951 and in 1954, the Champion Aircraft Corporation was formed and bought the 7AC design for production. This 1962 Champion Challenger was sold in September 2016 and was registered C-FPTR. It was involved in a mid-air collision on June 14, 2020, damaging the tail. The aircraft set down on the Ottawa River and flipped over with the pilot exiting with minor injuries. The other aircraft was able to land at Arnprior airport.

Registered new in May 1960 to a company from Sidcup, Kent. By 2004 it had been converted to tail wheel configuration and current as such in 2022. Northern Ireland based.
