Not one of the original three RMAF Herons, this museum exhibit was acquired from the Sri Lanka air force.

Photographed just after arrival at Eagle Farm. This aircraft is now on display at The Queensland Air Museum ( QAM ) situated at the Caloundra Airport north of Brisbane.

Built at Chester for the Luftwaffe as CA+002. Bought by Ferranti in August 1962 for executive transport and based in Ringway's southside hangar 522 until sale as VH-CLV in May 1970.

Ex G-ASCX, VH-CLV was delivered to Connellan Airways in 1970 and converted to Lycoming power. In 1974 it was chartered by Ansett Airlines of New South Wales as a potential replacement for the Short flying boats following the opening of an airport on Lord Howe Island. -CLV returned to Connellan but in 1981 it was back on the Sydney-Lord Howe route with Avdev Airlines, soon to be renamed Avdev Airlines Davey. It was sold to Airlines of Tasmania in 1984 and was still with it when ceased operations in 1997. -CLV passed to the Queen Victoria Museum, Launceston.

Spare fuselage for your Heron, sir? The RMAF one was delivered to them in 6.63 as FM-1054 and bought by Prinair in 9.81, being allocated N588PR but only used for spares. The other five in Prinair's multi-colour liveries had at least seen service with them but not surprisingly all were scrapped

Operated by Associated Airlines, the private airline of mining giant BHP. Sold in the US in 1968 as N210FA.
