This two-seater is pictured on display, at that time, as part of the immensely interesting Airbase collection at CVT. WT722 was moved subsequently to Newquay as part of the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre. It had been G-BWGN but was cancelled in March 2011

Of all the cold-war jets the Hunter was (IMHO) the most aesthetically beautiful....although the two-seat version perhaps a little less so than the single seater!

The two-seat Hunter doesn't look much like a fighter in this view. Former Royal Navy aircraft, XF357.

This Hunter was constructed as an F.4 for the RAF, f/f 4.2.55, and was one of the first to be re-built as a T.8 two-seater for the FAA in 1959. In 1970 she joined what became the FRADU at Yeovilton serving till 1994 when flown to Shawbury for disposal, having become the oldest flyable Hunter in the world in 1983. She was auctioned next year with 9,500 hrs/12,500 landings, ferried to Exeter as G-BWGN in 1996 and moved to Kemble in 2006 and on to Coventry for the new Airbase centre in 2010 (relocated to Newquay 2012)

Built as an F.4 for the RAF and first flown in 5.55; converted to T.8 and delivered to the FAA in 1959, operating for a time in blue and white 'Admiral's Barge' colours. Served FRADU 1975-79 and sold as G-BWGM in 1995, now pending possible return to flying condition

Built by Hawker Aircraft at Kingston in 1958. Wears special VIP scheme for when carrying high-ranking naval officers. Crashed into sea near Portsmouth on 31st October 1984 with the loss of the pilot.
