The PD-808 was used as an ECM-aircraft until the Tornado ECR came available.

The prototype PD-808 exhibited at the 1966 Hanover Air Show in Italian Air Force markings. It wears a long nose probe during tests.

Only 24 of this design for a Douglas business jet, taken over by Piaggio after no orders were placed, were built. This 31° Stormo example was originally a navigation trainer. The fuselage survives on crates at Parco Dittellandia, Castel Volturno

Its Cant Z.501 Gabbiano flying boats are long gone, but this place is still some sort of Italian Air Force facility, its gardens ornamented with a PD.808, a P.166, an AB.47, an MB.326 and a G.91Y.
