This one of the four PD-808 built for radio navigation checking. When the Centro Radiomisure (CR- unit codes) on 1st June 1976 was incorporated in the 14° Stormo, it became the 8° Gruppo. Other than the high visibility painting, it can be noted a typical dual com/nav antenna on top of the fuselage.

This is the first prototype of the PD-808, that flew on the 28 August 1964. It is interesting to remember that some hours after the first flight, this aircraft experienced during the take-off a bird ingestion into the left engine, that flamed out.
