Racing at Reno from the early '60s, the aircraft carried registrations of N713DW, N22DC, N51T, N51TZ, N5415V, N51GP, N713DW, N22DC, N51T, N51TZ, N5415V, N51GP and N51VF. With several re-builds over the years and a major conversion in 1993 adding a rear seat and dual controls, the fighter wears the markings of Major Don Gentile's Shangrila.
