Photo taken while waiting to board this aircraft for our flight back to Quito from the Galapagos islands. This is a former Lufthansa aicraft (delivered in 1974 as D-ABRI). It had been stored at Quito Mariscal Sucre by 2005 and later scrapped there.

Retired from fleet in late 2004, stored at the Mariscal Sucre air force base in Quito. Here it was displayed during the Ecuadorian Air Force's annual open house. All the good parts of the plane were removed to be used on the remaining 727s, and the plane was later moved to the other side of the airport where it remained until the airport shut down and the plane was scrapped.

HC-BSC's final resting position at the other side of the airport, seen together with HC-BMD. Both planes were scrapped when the old airport shut down.

Recently repainted with the new Línea Aérea del Ecuador titles, but still carries the old FAE-788 on the rear fuselage below the engines. Ex Lufthansa D-ABRI, registered 5th Jan 1993 and retired SEQM (Quito) Sep 2004, scrapped

HC-BSC named "Galápagos" waiting for its next flight. You can see on the open door that Tame still operated the ex-Lufthansa 727s with the brown interior. HC-BSC was retired from service in early 2005.
