A85-426 was used as an FAC aircraft. It is seen here at Jervis Bay, a satellite airstrip to HMAS Albatross at Nowra (YSNW). At the time of the photo Jervis Bay's main role was the launch and recovery of target-towing drones until June 1998. A85-436 was sold in 1994 and became VH-DKK.

The Jervis Bay airfield (HMAS Creswell) was built during World War II as a satellite to the nearby Nowra air base (now HMAS Albatross). Its remoteness from built-up areas makes it ideal for operating target drones such as the Jindivik as seen in the photo. Jindiviks were replaced by MQM-107E drones which are no longer in use.
