The USCG operated forty Sikorsky HH-3F Pelicans from 1967 (and converted three ex-USAF HH-3Es in 1989) until they were replaced by the Sikorsky HH-60J Jayhawk in the 1990s. Based out of Coast Guard Air Station Astoria in Oregon, this one went to AMARC March 12, 1992.
