Unknown photographer. On back of photo 157454 LTV Corsair A-7E. VA113 USN USS Ranger. No date or location. Possibly Alameda or Lemoore. VA-113 nickname 'Stingers' upgraded to the A-7E in April 1970 and acquired 157454 as code NE-311 and deployed to Southeast Asia on USS Ranger in Nov 1970. In 1971-72 she was with VA-27 as NK-411. In 1975 the code was changed to NK-405 and she was written off on 29 Apr 1975 aboard USS America CV-66. The Stingers are still active in 2024 flying out of Lemoore, CA as VFA-113 operating the F/A-18E Super Hornet.
