The U-8 is the military version of the Beech Model 50 Twin Bonanza. Markings of this airframe: U.S. Army, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 19th Aviation Battalion, Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, 1966

Withdrawn in 1979 and on display at Pima Air & Space Museum, Arizona by 1991.

Built as an L-23D, delivered to the US Army around 1956 as 56-3701. Later redesignated as U-8D. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number UB0076 in August 1979. By 1991 it was located at Pima in the markings 0-63701, AL-NG of the Alabama Army National Guard. Between August 1991 and 1996, the markings you see in this photo were applied.

On display at the magnificent Pima Air & Space Museum. Although the large exhibits probably hog all the attention from the public passing through, there are many, many other smaller interesting aircraft to be seen as well.
