One of eleven Ju 52s that landed on frozen Hartvig Lake near Narvik on 13 April 1940, DB-QU was written off after its landing or possibly as a result of Allied air attacks. The wreck remains in the lake today. The origin of the photo is unknown but it would seem to have been taken in June 1940, after the ice melted and useful parts, including the left engine, had been removed.
