Transmitting 679 as serial via its mode S transponder but devoid of any exterior markings. Later, the serial turned out to be painted on the side of the entrance stairs though, and all IDF Nachshon Shavits and Eitams serve with 122sq, The Nachshon Squadron.

Unfortunately, this G-V is completely unmarked, even without a serial visible, but is operated by 122 Sqn.

The Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) was the armed forces of East Germany up to 1990. This MiG-29A was assigned to Jagdfliegergeschwader 3 (JG-3) "Wladimir Komarow" at Preschen air base. The 679 made its first flight on 23 March 1988, and was delivered to the NVA in May 1988, and according to NVA data the aircraft only flew some 234 flight hours before it was delivered to the Luftwaffe on 3 October 1990 as 2912. This picture was just on time to immortalise it in NVA colors.
