This Phantom was delivered to the Turkish Air Force on 7 April 1978 as part of the Peace Diamond II Foreign Military Sales programme. In 2001 it was modified to F-4E-2020. The Spook, seen here during the Electronic Warfare Live Training Exercise and blasting of the runway off Lechfeld, crashed near Malatya after experiencing a problem with its landing gear on 31 May 2019. Both pilots were able to eject and only suffered some minor injuries.

This was the only shot I took of the static exhibits at ILA 2014. The planes were too close together, fences were too close to the planes, people in the background or sheltering under wings, legs under the fuselage and flightcrews in deckchairs all meant ILA 2014 was hard going and not for me.
