Wartime 42-15545 had an airliner right hand entry door rather than the usual left side large cargo door and later worked for United airlines as N49541 January 1945 - September 1953. Coming to Canada in 1972, it's pictured with Lambair (1973 - 74), who sold it to Perimeter Airlines. The aircraft was donated to the Western Canada Aviation Museum after withdrawal in 1987. It's Fuselage was last seen in open storage on the west side of Winnipeg Airport.

Although originally built for the USAAF, BFV is unusual in having a RH pax door, normally only found on some pre-WW II civil models. Possibly installed when in United Airlines service. After retirement, the wings were sold in the US with the rest staying on at CYWG. This caused some confusion as traces of the registration were visible when they were used on another air-frame.
