In a revised colour scheme since my 1978 photo. Delivered to Air Canada as Tristar 1 C-FTNJ in 1974. Converted to a Tristar 100 for long haul flights in 1977. Leased to Air Lanka as 4R-TNJ for 17 days in Feb 1982 and returned as C-FTNJ. To Orbital Sciences Corporation as N140SC in 1992 and converted to an air launch platform for Pegasus rockets. Transferred to Northrop Grumman in 2018. Still operational in 2023.

Getting the thumbs up at the start of another Atlantic crossing to Canada. This aircraft is nowadays the Orbital Sciences Corp. aircraft with the registration N140SC.

Final approach 28L. Or was it 27L? I think the headings changed in 1987.

Delivered to Air Canada March 9, 1974, this Tristar was retired in 1992. Sold to Orbital Sciences, the aircraft was modified to air launch their Pegasus rocket. Put into service in 1994 christened Stargazer, it is the last L1011 in still flying at the time of uploading.
