This is one of 12 Leonardo AW139 helicopters operated in the province of Ontario by the Ornge air ambulance service landing at CYTZ after an EMS mission. C-GYNK was assembled at the AgustaWestland facility at Northeast Philadelphia Airport and imported to Canada in September 2010. It was initially operated on contract by Canadian Helicopters until Ornge obtained an Air Operators Certificate and hired its own crews. Canadian (and its predecessors CHC, Okanagan, Dominion Pegasus and Toronto Helicopters) operated the Ontario Ministry of Health's EMS helicopter fleet between 1978 and 2012.

Ornge started repainting its 12 Leonardo AW139 fleet in a new blue, white and orange colour scheme in 2021. The Ontario government funded agency provides air medical transports for the residents of Ontario with eight PC-12s and 12 AW139s, which are based in Toronto CYTZ (2), London, Sudbury, Ottawa, Thunder Bay, Kenora and Moosonee. Ten AW139s were delivered in 2010-2011, one in 2016 and one in 2018. C-GYNK was seen on standby at the CYXU base. It was assembled at the Agusta Helicopter Corp. factory in Northeast Philadelphia Airport (KPNE) and delivered to Canada in September 2010.
