Allocated to the RAF in 1943 then became G-AGHO with BOAC during the war. It was enlisted into the RCAF as 10910 from 1951 until 1970 when it was acquired by Austin Airways as above. On 14 January 1993, whilst with Central Mountain Air, it was wrecked in a take-off crash from Bronson Creek (CYBM).

Rolling off of the Douglas production line as 42-24000, this C-47 was transferred to the Royal Air Force as FD941 on July 19, 1943. Arriving in Great Britain it was used by BOAC (G-AGHO) from August 1943 - June 1949 when it was returned and sold to Northwest Airlines as N9993F. It came to Canada in May 1951 for the Royal Canadian Air Force (10910), before going civil again with Austin Airways as CF-AAM September 28, 1970. Central Mountain Air bought the aircraft in January 1989. Sadly, C-FAAM crashed on take off at Bronson Creek, BC January 14, 1993.

Built in 1929 and beautifully restored to airworthiness, AAM was finally retired to the Western Canada Aviation Museum a couple of years ago. The landing gear bungee system is interesting. AAM has operated on floats skiis and wheels.
