This An-2 looks good in its sober basic Aeroflot livery.

In the early 80ies, my wife used to jump out of this AN-2 as a parachutist, when the aircraft was based at Halle-Oppin and wore the GDR-registration DM-WJK. She was delighted to see this 48-year old lady again in 2022 - on its current homebase Merseburg a few miles south of Halle, still in regular use for the local parachute club.

The plane crashed on landing at Merseburg (EDAM) in September 2015 after it was caught by a gust of wind and flipped over. Fortunately, it could be repaired at PZL Mielec and returned to service.
