The excellent HAL Museum in Bangalore shows the history of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, the Indian aircraft manufacturer. One of the prize exhibits is the first jet fighter built in India, the HAL HF-24 Marut. Designed in the 60s and 70s by German aeronautical engineer, the Marut served with the Indian Air Force until the late 80s. Two-seat trainer Marut Mk1T D1695 poses here as D1698.
