Notice the numeric registration that was applied for a maximum of three months to the new aircraft of the Spanish register before a definitive three letter combination was applied (in this case she became EC-FXJ). This system lasted from 1987 to 1996.

This aircraft was handed over to BA as G-BVBZ but, due to the downturn in demand after the Gulf War, was ferried directly to Mojave and parked. Pictured here visiting the Glasgow BA narrow body maintenance facility before entering service with UX. Subsequently she went on to serve with BA as G-DOCZ.
