About two dozen La-11 long-range piston-engined fighter aircraft were supplied to Indonesia by China in 1958 for 3 Sqdn. Scramble quote F-911 as a fake marking, the original having been scrapped, but also say this is a composite aircraft; whether any parts of 911 were incorporated we will probably never know.

On display at Museum Pusat TNI-AU Dirgantara Mandala. The PRC supplied 24 La-11 fighters to AURI in 1958, which were flown for a few years. The canopy on the aircraft is not the original.

So we have this rare Russian fighter, once supplied by China, but the cockpit canopy is missing. Wait - let's cut up this Harvard canopy! She'll look like new!
