Built in 1948 and appeared at that years Farnborough Airshow. Delivered to Central African Airways (CAA) as VP-YHZ in October 1948, and transferred to West African Airways Corporation (WAAC) as VR-NAA in May 1949. Returned to the UK in March 1957 and registered to East Anglian Flying Services which became Channel Airways in 1962. Withdrawn from use in October 1964 and scrapped at Southend in July 1966.

Displayed at the 1948 SBAC show at Farnborough, then to CAA as VP-YHZ 28 Oct.1948, and transferred to WAAC as VR-NAA May 1949. Arrived at Southend on delivery from Nigeria 31 March 1957 and restored as G-AIFO 8 April 1957 to East Anglian Flying Services and to Channel Airways 5 Nov.1962 upon corporate name change. Made its last flight 18 Oct.1964 and remained parked at Southend until scrapped there July 1966. Cancelled 13 Sept.1966 as 'Destroyed'.

Engineless at Southend, withdrawn from use June 1965.

The Freighter 21 wears 'Channel Airways Southend' titles as it arrives at Ringway on an inclusive tour passenger flight from Ostend in 1958. Aircraft operated by Channel from April 1957 until August 1966.
