Ex D-ILBE and still active in Switzerland as of 1975. Found its way to USA at a later date as N9282Z and was cancelled as such on 17 Jan 1989.

Subsequently carried several US registrations and last known of in Sierra Leone.

Looking very pretty with the radar nose is this pressurized Aero Commander. It became G-AWCU with British Steel on 1 February 1968 and N46832 on 22 June 1973. Sadly it was destroyed in a near vertical dive from 16000 ft. at Cynthiana/KY on 5 February 1974. In the background is one of the first DC-9s in Europe (HB-IFA), just a few days after delivery.

This 1965 built King Air later became N12AB with the FAA Technical Center and was cancelled on 17 April 1992. Convair 990 aircraft of Swissair and Lebanese International Airways (OD-AEX in light blue c/s) behind.

The fuselage structure of these roomy twins is similar to its V-tail brother and is expanded to suit the larger aircraft. This explains the three-piece windshield on earlier models with the center section added to make up the difference. They were popular in their day and led to the Queen Air and highly successful King Air series. This 1959 built example is still current in 2020 as N107WS.

Saturn were commonly seen on airways and at UK airports at the time and this particular aircraft was one of the first noticed with the exits outlined in compliance with new FAA requirements. Originally built for Mexicana in 1957, it later operated in Spain before being converted to a bar in the 1980s.

This aircraft is waiting in the Customs zone and the pilot of this 1960 built Beech Travel Air looks to be waiting for a sign of the agent coming out. Still current in the USA in 2020 with the appropriate registration N237TD
