Official BEA photo 7456. Original caption reads "BEA Viscount V.802 airliner in flight". G-AOHL was delivered 17 April 1957 and it is assumed the photo was taken on that occasion. Certainly an early shot as registrations were moved from the tail tip to below the red square from the early 1960's.

slide scan from the NK collection. - BEA operated a few Viscounts with additional "Scottish Airways" titles between 1971 and 1973; thereafter the turboprops were integrated into British Airways. G-AOHL was retired in 1980 and used by British Air Ferries as a cabin trainer at Southend.

Acquired by British Air Ferries in 1981 and used as a ground trainer at Southend. Scrapped in 2004.

G-AOHL, in the middle of the photograph, is one of four Viscounts parked on the domestic pier. All are in transitional marls, ex-BEA. G-AOHH is on the left, and G-AOJF is to the right of 'OHL.
