Delivered to Hunting Clan as G-APTD in 1959. Merged into British United Airways in 1960. Photo possibly taken prior to a short term lease to Alia Royal Jordanian Airlines as JY-ADC in 1967 as the markings are partly removed. Returned to British United Airways then went to Arkia as 4X-AVD in 1970. Withdrawn from use at East Midlands in 1979 and used for parts. Remains scrapped in 1983.

[At airports where both 700 and 800 series Viscounts of BEA were seen, the way to tell them apart from afar was that the 800 taxied after landing on inboard engines, as here, and the 700 taxied on outboard engines.]
