This Boeing 737 was leased from Excel Airways for the 2004 - 2005 winter season by Kelowna Flightcraft Air Charter to operate charter flights on behalf of tour operator Sunwing Vacations, hence the Sunwing titles in the tail. At the end of 2005 Sunwing Vacations had started their own airline, Sunwing Airlines, which in turn ended their co-operation with Kelowna.

Returned as G-XLAE November 2001, leased again to Air Berlin October 2002 to April 2003. Leased to Kelowna for winters 2003 and 2004 and Sunwing winters 2005 to 2007 as C-FTAE keeping Canadian registration. Returned to XL Airways May 2008, ceased operations September 2008.
