This Mi-9 was built in December 1983 and served with the East German AF as '426' and then, from November 1984, with the East German Army. Upon German re-unification it became '9394' until offerered for sale in January 1995. After being moved around various locations in Switzerland it has now settled at this paint ball facility outside Lausanne.

The C-160H Astarte (which meant Avion Station Relais de Transmissions Exceptionelles) was a modified Transall used as an airborne relay station for special VLF/ELF transmissions with French nuclear submarines. Four aircraft were modified and served within Electronic Squadron "Bigorre" (EA 1/59) from 1992 to 2001. Interesting to see the 2 insignia (EA 1/19 & Flotille 16F)
