Heli Bernina, founded in 1985 by Hansueli Baerfuss (a swiss helicopter pioneer) and Leo Caminada, is a small but successful helicopter operator based at Samedan Airport. In 1991, the company took delivery of the first AS-350B2 helicopters painted in an all yellow livery. This color became HB's "brand" and has been applied to all new AS350B3's. HB-ZIS shown here was built in 2008 and flew for Heli Bernina till June 4, 2013, when it was sold to fellow swiss operator Air Glaciers based in Lauterbrunnen. Unfortunately, it crashed on July 14, 2015, killing the pilot, the sole person on board.
