L5659 in target towing stripes. The aircraft was assembled in Victoria and allocated to the 1 Bombing and Gunnery School at Evans Head, NSW. In April 1942 it was allocated to 1 Operational Training unit and given a camouflaged finish. It continued to be used for target towing. L5659 crashed near Bairnsdale, Victoria, on January 28, 1943.
