Frank Ryder's Chipmunk was delivered to the Royal Air Force January 3, 1952 and became WG484. After leaving the RAF for Australia in 1959 it became VH-KFA, but later was re-registered VH-DCE (1962) and VH-GCE (1964). Coming to the USA in 1973, it was registered N13CD and lost the original Gypsy Major engine with a Super Chipmunk conversion for airshow performing.
