Official Boeing photo P 33495. Original caption reads: "…The 727, taxiing to a stop in the background, is due for airline service early in 1964. Testing at Edwards included landing performance and accelerated stops". Delivered to United 24 June 1964. Retired 1991 and used as ground trainer by San Francisco Community College from 1992 until scrapped in 2014.

Official Boeing photo P 33494. Original caption reads: "Sturdy jetliner tires are readied for replacement on this 727 after the airplane completed a phase of U. S. Federal Aviation Agency certification testing at Edwards Air Force Base, California. Wheels, tires and brakes were replaced before each new test to insure maximum performance..." First flown 4 October 1963, delivered to United 24 June 1964.

After retirement from service with United Airlines this 727 was acquired by SFO Airport in 1992 for use as a ground trainer.
