Freshly released from the US Army where it was 57-6110, this Otter has just arrived after ferry across the North Atlantic from its German NATO base. On the ground are the four 45-gallon drums which were strapped inside the fuselage for fuel. Temporarily registered N80943, it became CF-JIK for Ilford Riverton Airways. While later operating with Smithers Air Service in BC, it crashed and was DBF on 26 November 1979 attempting a take-off 600 lbs over gross and with C of G at 11 inches aft of limit.
