Delivered to Eastern Airlines as N8856E in 1972. To Pan Am in 1991 then to Braniff International Airlines in 1992 and Florida West in 1994. Withdrawn from use at Miami in 1997 and scrapped in 1998.

Delivered new 16th Oct 1972 and repossessed by lessor Apr 1991, then leased to PanAm Jul-Dec 1991 and to Braniff Jan-Jul 1992 .Withdrawn from use KMIA (Miami) where it was scrapped July 1998

Recently buffed, this shiny 727 makes the final right turn to align with runway 18 at DCA.

Short-lived and last incarnation of the Braniff airline name, operating for only one year, from July 1991 until July 1992. Although this former Eastern Air Lines 727 looks smart in these blue Braniff colours, the paint job is clearly starting to wear off. Perhaps an ominous sign, because only a month later the airline ceased operations. This aircraft was first stored at Mojave and later at Miami, and scrapped there during 1998.
