Delivered to Braniff as N7099 in 1966. To TMA of Lebanon as OD-AFY in 1972. Damaged beyond repair when the undercarriage collapsed while taxiing at Amsterdam-Schiphol in 1993.

Built in1966 for Braniff Airways (N7099). Over to TMA in October 1972. Damaged beyond repair when undercarriage failed while taxiing at Amsterdam on 26 July 1993. Broken up in September '93.

Seen routing towards 28L for departure this TMA 707 was delivered to Braniff as N7099 before sale to TMA in 1972. It was written off at Amsterdam in 1993 after a gear collapse during taxi. Scanned from a slide.

This aircraft was written off in Amsterdam in 1993 when during the push back for departure the support beam of the starboard main-gear broke. It actually deformed the upper side of the wing as well. Because of the serious structural damage the plane was broken up on the same apron that it was departing from. I still wonder what would have happened if this plane had made it to the runway.
