The fourth DC-6B delivered to Sabena, this aircraft served the airline from April 1953 until sale in February 1963. It is arriving at Ringway after a 9 hours 30 minutes non-stop scheduled flight from New York Idlewild and will leave for Brussels after dropping passengers and freight.

Sabena were the first airline to operate transatlantic schedules from Manchester, starting in October 1953. Here OO-CTI arrives on Runway 06 direct from NY Idlewild (later JFK) after a ten-hour nonstop flight. After dropping passengers, it will continue to Brussels. The westbound flights were via Gander for refuelling.
