Official handover of the first four F-84Fs to the Netherlands air force. The US and Dutch serials are above and below the Dutch flag on the tail and can just be read in the full-resolution photo. The squadron code of 311 Sqn was PP and the squadron colour was red. Then with 315 Sqn, this Streak crashed into a house in Aalst near Eindhoven on 24 February 1959, killing a woman. The aircraft came out of a spin after the pilot ejected. Photo by: Harry Pot / Nationaal Archief (Netherlands)
