To N105TR in December 1998 and converted to cargo. To N922 in December 1999 and written off at Medellin in June 2006 after a runway excursion.

This 742 was delivered to Garuda in May 1982 and is pictured taxying out to rw28 for departure. It was converted to a freighter in September 1999 and went on to fly with Polar Air andAtlas Air as N922FT before joining Tradewinds in September 2004. Alas, the frame was damaged beyond repair in June 2008 when it overran the runway in Medellin (MDE) whilst trying to abort a take off.

At that time I owned only a 135mm lens so didn't have a lot of flexibility with my shot angles. Anyway, I was very young and knew only that I loved to photograph airliners. My old shots aren't great but I'm glad I have them in my collection and, hopefully, they bring back some wonderful airliner memories.

PK-GSE was sold in the US as N105TR in January 1998.
