The Avro Anson served in the Royal Air Force from 1936 until 1968! TX238 was part of an order for 85 Anson C.19 communications aircraft built at Yeadon in 1946. TX238 collided with a Sabre, XB634, on approach to Wildenrath on 5 April 1955. All three pilots were killed. The Anson then belonged to 2nd Tactical Air Force Communications Squadron.
