Afternoon arrival - operating as Qantas flight 1951 from Darwin, UYO although seemingly a bit high, was inside the airport boundary and would shortly land on Rw 23.

Afternoon departure - Qantas flight QF1956 to Alice Springs climbing out after taking off from Rw 05. As at the date of uploading, five Alliance E190s were based in Adelaide operating Qantas flights to Darwin and Alice Springs - VH-UYB, UYO, UYY, UYW and UYZ. Reportedly, other destinations were to be added in due course. Also reportedly, the aircraft were to eventually be 're-badged into Qantas colours'. VH-UYB though wore a special livery celebrating 100 years of the RAAF and it wasn't known if that livery would remain.

No 12 in the Ansett race, its race number detached during the event. VH-UYO crashed at Cardigan, Victoria, on June 22, 1964 when it flew into the ground in IFR conditions.
