'Avalon Beach' over the threshold of runway 05 for its last landing ever. Although this Triple Seven was less than 15 years old at the photo date, it had been sold for parts and arrived here to be dismantled, with the engines to be removed the next day already. The final journey started in Darwin on 31 March with a leg to Muscat. Next day, VPD had diverted to Maastricht because the weather would not allow the mandatory VFR arrival here; on this Sunday it worked.

Delivered new 30th Jan 2009 and re-branded as Virgin Australia Dec 2011. Withdrawn from use 11th Aug 2020 awaiting a new operator.

This 77W was originally delivered to V Australia in January 2009 and transferring over to the rebranded Virgin Australia in December 2011. It is pictured here being towed to a remote parking stand to wait until it is time for the overnight flight back home. The frame is currently stored.

Finally managed to catch a V-Aus at LAX on my last day here it landed the opposite side from me 4 times before this.
