Little Wings is a charity that flies seriously ill children from rural areas to medical treatment in the city.

Operated by the Government of South Australia for its helicopter rescue service, the Motor Accident Commission (an SA Government department) became the major sponsor after the Adelaide Bank ceased sponsorship. Australian Helicopters supported the Eurocopter/Kawasaki fleet at its Adelaide base.

The operator of this helicopter was the South Australian Government for its helicopter rescue service with the major sponsor being the Adelaide Bank whose corporate image formed the livery. Appears to be undergoing some system checking and note the slight movement in the tail rotor.

This rescue helicopter circled for good 20 minutes almost directly above our house; as it later turned out, there had been a police chase resulting in a six car pile-up at the nearest intersection; the helicopter had participated in the events. As for me - being blissfully unaware of all that, I enjoyed the unusual opportunity of aviation photography done right out of my own backyard
