This was the second prototype Gannet anti-submarine aircraft designed to military specification GR.17/45. First flew 6 July 1950. At date of photo it was being used by Armstrong Siddeley Motors at Bitteswell in flight trials of the Double Mamba engine. Here one section is shut down as it shows off its weapons bay.
