Delivered to the RAF as XD452 in 1954. Allocated maintenance serial 7990M then moved to London Colney in 1967. Left in 1985 and moved around a number of locations. Pod may still be in a private location near Dursley, Gloucestershire.

One of only 4 aircraft which at that time constituted the Mosquito Aircraft Museum as it was originally known, now the De Havilland Aircraft Museum. The others were the Mosquito Prototype W4050, Mosquito TT.35 TA634/G-AWJV and Venom FB.3 WX853. Arrived by road from Shawbury in November 1967, allocated 7990M. Subsequently to Whixhall, Chester and Dursley (Glos) by July 2005. Cockpit last reported in Dursley area in August 2012.

Preserved and displayed outdoors at the Mosquito Aircraft Museum, Salisbury Hall. This Vampire is no longer part of this collection, now known as the de Havilland Aircraft Museum.
