C6965 was used in May 1920 for a promotional tour of northern New South Wales and southern Queensland for Perdriau Rudder Co of Brisbane. The pilot was Lt W. Butler. Aerodromes were rare in Australia in 1920 and the BE2e flew from paddocks, racecourses and commons close to the towns visited. Photos of C6965 at known locations such as Toowoomba and St Lucia in Brisbane do not match this photo. C6965 never received a civil registration. Photo from: Powerhouse Museum.
