First flew 17 June 1955 as VP-TBK for BWIA. Reg'd G-APTA -7 March 1959, to Bahamas A/W as VP-BBW 21 June 1961. To Channel A/W as G-APTA 16 Dec.1964, leased to Bahamas A/W as VP-BBW 30 Oct.1965, returned to Southend off-lease -1 May 1967, restored to Channel A/W as G-APTA 28 June 1967. Leased to BKS Air Transport 17 July 1967 - 10 Oct.1967. Taken out of service 30 Sept.1968. Progressively scrapped at Southend January 1970 and completely gone by -1 Feb.1970. Cancelled 24 Feb.1970 as 'Destroyed'.

slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Air International operated this single Vickers Viscount between 1971 and 1972. G-APPX was built in 1955 and was retired at East Midlands in 1972.

Made its final commercial flight into Gatwick just two months later on 28th October 1972. Ferried to East Midlands on 3 engines on 21st November 1972 and eventually broken up there in August 1977.

Built in 1955 for BWIA as VP-TBM then leased to Kuwait Airways as G-APPX in 1958. Having been sold to Bahamas Airways as VP-BBV, it has here stopped off on delivery ferry with G-APPX in tape on the tail and the letter V on its nose wheel door. It reverted to G-APPX in 1969 and here in Air International livery in 1971. Scrapped at Nottingham (EGNX) in 1977.

Built in 1955 and leased to Kuwait Airways as G-APPX in November 1958, so may have been en route from the Caribbean here. Sold to Bahamas Airways as VP-BBV in 1961 then restored in 1968, ending its days with Air International as here . Scrapped at East Midlands (EGNX) in 1977. Note the original operator was not BWIA International as published elsewhere.

Built for British West Indian Overseas Airways in 1955 and here on a lease which ran until June 1961. Later to Channel Airways and scrapped at Southend (EGMC) in February 1972. Taken on a fine Saturday afternoon which brought out the local spotters.

This "Prop Jet Golden Viscount" served Channel Airways from 12.64 to retirement in 07.69 with periods of leasing out. Initially delivered to BWIA in 07.55 as VP-TBK.

Built at Hurn, FF 9.55 as VP-TBM and del to BWIA. To BOAC Associated Companies for Kuwait Airways as G-APPX in 11.58 and sold to Bahamas Airways as VP-BBV in 4.61. Next to Field Aircraft Services on reverting to UK reg 12.68 and leased to BMA, then Air International Charter Co of Gibraltar till 11.72. Reg cancelled 8.75 as wfu and derelict at EMA after tail swap with G-BDRC. B/u by 10.77

Built in 1955 for BWIA as VP-TBM and later VP-BBV. Leased by Air International from July 1971 until November 1972, then stored at EMA.

Built at Hurn, 1955 as VP-TBM and delivered to BWIA. Later Registered as G-APPX in 1958. Registration was cancelled in August 1975.
