Former USAAF 42-15829, now painted as a US Navy N2S Kaydet in striking 'Recall' colours.

Built as 42-15829 and destined for use in Canada as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Allocated RCAF serial FJ298 but transferred back to the USAAF in 1943. Post war the aircraft became N50576 and in 1971 was re-registered as N747Q. Bought by its current owner in May 2012, the aircraft underwent a thorough restoration over three years and made its first post restoration flight in April 2024. Painted in the striking 'Recall' scheme used by the US Navy basic training bases during WW2 to indicate trainee pilots to return to base in the event of an emergency.

A simple, stylish livery which looks stunning

Allocated 42-15766 but transferred to the RCAF as FJ905. Returned to the US in 1943 and imported back into Canada in 1973 as above. Exported as N6781C in August 1997 and current as such in 2021 painted as FJ905.

Later received an enlarged rudder

N56833 modified for cropdusting with a hopper, extended wing tips and an enlarged rudder. Registration cancelled in 2003.

The PT-27 designation was given to 300 Kaydets supplied to three RAF flying schools in Canada in the spring of 1942. This one, serials 42-15591 and FD989, went to No 36 EFTS at Pearce, Alberta. However, the open cockpits proved too cold in the Canadian winter and the Stearmans were exchanged for Fairchild Cornells from December 1942. This airframe then served with USAAF schools in Arizona and Texas. It was sold for $372 after the war and flew as a cropduster in the 1950s.
