Built in Australia and taken on charge by the RAAF in April 1953. It seems to have spent its early life at 2 OCU before being converted to TT (Target Tow) standard in 1955. In September 1959 it was classed as surplus to requirements and transferred as Instructional Airframe No.6 to RSTT (RAAF School of Technical Training), Wagga Wagga. In May 1969 the aircraft was written off, pending disposal. It was acquired by the Corowa RSL and has been restored once since then.

The first jet aircraft to be built in Australia, taken on strength in September 1949. Used as an instructional airframe during the 1960s and then place on main gate at RAAF Williamtown.

From 1949 to 1953, De Havilland Aircraft constructed eighty single-seat Vampires at the plant in Bankstown, NSW for the RAAF, using the more powerful Rolls-Royce Nene (built by CAC) rather than the Goblin in most Vampires. This is actually A-79-375 (restored using tail and booms from A79-733) painted as A79-876 in the Target Tug black and yellow paint scheme worn in 1955 before it was re-serialled A79-476. Coincidentally the Nene engine fitted is the actual one removed from A79-476. After its flying career it became an instructional airframe at Wagga Wagga and moved to Point Cook in 1977

The first Australian Vampire, which first flew in 1949, was a gate guard at Williamtown for many years since the late 1960s. Now it is preserved inside the Fighterworld museum.

This was the first jet aircraft built in Australia and received by the RAAF in 1949. It was on strength until 1957. It was stored at many locations during the following years until put on display outside the Fighter World at the Williamtown Air Force Base.

A79-529 ended its service life as an instructional airframe (No.6). It went to the Corowa Returned Service's Club and was mounted on a pole.

Built by de Havilland Australia and delivered to the RAAF on 30 September 1952. Served with 2 OTU then 21 (City of Melbourne) Squadron. Placed into general reserve 1960, then in 1963 approval was given to convert the aircraft for display purposes by removing the wings, tailbooms and engine, and blanking off the wing roots/intakes. The nose section was subsequently used for recruiting purposes. Subsequent history uncertain, but currently on display at HARS.

Built by De Havilland Australia for the RAAF. Moved to reserve as an instructional airframe at the RAAF School of Technical Training in 1959. Disposed of in May 1969. Erected on this pole in Forbes, NSW, in 1971 to mark the RAAF's 50th Anniversary.
