Ex-51 Squadron. Flew in to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford on 10th January 1975 for preservation. Displayed until October 1992 when it was scrapped due to undercarriage corrosion. Nose preserved at London Colney,

This was the 30th Comet built, having been ordered as G-AMXH for BOAC. When that order was cancelled, the fuselage was strengthened and the aircraft taken over by the RAF in 1956 as a C.Mk.2 with 216 sqn. It was later modified for radio signals duties as a Mk.2R, at Hatfield and by Marshall's of Cambridge, going on to fly ELINT flights along the borders of the Warsaw Pact until superceded by Nimrod R.1s. The plane was retired to IWM Duxford in 1975 with 8,236 flying hours in over 3,200 flights but due to excessive corrosion, it was dismantled in 1992 and the nose donated to the DHAHC.

Previously operated by 51 Squadron based at RAF Wyton. Displayed at Strathallan until broken up when the collection was dispersed.

Broken up when the Strathallan Collection closed down. This Comet had the distinction of having landed on the grass airfield at Strathallan, though its undercarriage was damaged in the process.

Preserved at Duxford from 1975 but broken up in 1992 when its undercarriage was found to be heavily corroded.
